Angelo LoCastro’s Approach to Myofascial Release Therapy
Myofascial Release therapy (also known as Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy) is an effective
hands-on technique that provides sustained pressure onto the body’s fascial system - or
connective tissue - to eliminate chronic pain and restore motion by relaxing contracted muscles.
Many patients seek myofascial therapy after losing flexibility or function, following a physical injury or simply experiencing pain in any area of the body that contains soft tissue. When people experience physical trauma, scarring or inflammation,
the fascia becomes tight and restricted, which is typically a common source of pain and tension that affects the entire body.

Patient’s symptoms usually include:
• Muscle, joint and/or tissue tightness that restricts motion or pulls the body out of alignment, causing individuals to favor and overuse one hip or shoulder.
• A sense of excessive pressure and/or pain in muscles or joints.
• Pain in any part of the body, including headaches, back pain, lower back pain, neck stiffness, shoulder injuries, arthritic conditions, sports injuries, sciatica, and any other musculoskeletal disorders.
Mr. LoCastro has successfully treated and rehabilitated many patients in Pennsylvania, New York and Florida by using this proven MFR treatment. His one-on-one physical therapy sessions are always hands-on where he applies a multitude of techniques and movement therapy to alleviate pain, increase circulation and restore range of motion. Myofascial Release Therapy is one of the most effective physical therapy treatments for patients who suffer from chronic pain and are looking to realize a pain-free life.
